Hey Friends!
We’ve finally got approved to buy a home.
As some of you have heard my story, I've survived a near fatal car crash and that has created some barriers in my life. I started teaching CPR as a way to give back to the community and to support my family without being dependent on the system. I learned to walk again and talk again. My crash was in 2007 and I've been working about 65 to 80 hours a week since 2012 and constantly attending classes as well. But even with my job, and my business, I cannot save for a down payment. With the economy and rent prices, plus each year for over 4 years we have had to move as landlords have sold the rentals or wanted to double the rent. My body and my finances cannot sustain constantly moving.
I am the bread winner in my home. The mortgage company says that from my CPR business, we can use $28 a month of my income because I don't earn enough. I work about 25 hours a week on my business teaching CPR but cannot stop as I get to be alive from people doing CPR on me and it is my passion to help others have the same fighting chance. Otherwise, I might get a different second job. If I had full classes each week, I'd be doing better but often I have just one student. No matter what, I will keep showing up because each student is important.
