Understanding policies, information and following guidelines and rules helps us all succeed.

Important Tuition Information, Students Rights and Responsibilities: 

Mystic Lotus Refund Policy
 
Thank you for choosing Mystic Lotus for your courses and coaching needs. We strive to provide high-quality educational experience and are committed to your satisfaction. Please review our refund policy carefully, as it outlines the terms and conditions regarding refunds and transfers for our various offerings.
 
**This policy applies to all in-person courses, online courses, coaching sessions, and digital downloads offered by Mystic Lotus.**
 
**I. In-Person Courses:**
 
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring you to cancel or reschedule your participation in an in-person course. To ensure fairness to all participants and instructors, the following policy applies:
 
*   **Cancellations 72 Hours (3 Days) or More Prior to the Course:** You are eligible for a full refund of the course fee.
 
*   **Cancellations Between 24 and 71 Hours Prior to the Course:** You are not eligible for a refund, but you may transfer your registration to another available course of equal or lesser value, subject to availability. Any difference in price will not be refunded. Transfers must happen within 30 days from the date of original enrollment.
 
*   **Cancellations Less Than 24 Hours Prior to the Course or No-Shows:** No refunds or transfers will be granted for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled course start time, or for participants who fail to attend the course. This includes situations due to illness, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.
 
**II. Coaching Sessions:**
 
*   **Cancellation 24 Hours or More Prior to the Scheduled Session:** You are eligible for a full refund of the session fee or a transfer to another available time slot, subject to availability.
 
*   **Cancellation Less Than 24 Hours Prior to the Scheduled Session:** No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session.
 
**III. Online Courses:**
 
*   **Refund Eligibility:** You may be eligible for a refund if you have completed less than 30% of the online course content. The percentage will be determined by Mystic Lotus based on the course platform's tracking of your progress.
 
*   **Refund Ineligibility:** No refunds will be issued if you have completed 30% or more of the online course content. This policy is in place to protect the intellectual property and value of our online courses.
 
**IV. Digital Downloads:**
 
*   **No Refunds:** Due to the nature of digital downloads and the immediate access granted upon purchase, all sales of digital downloads are final. No refunds will be offered for digital downloads, regardless of usage or satisfaction.
 
**V. How to Request a Refund or Transfer:**
 
To request a refund or transfer, you must submit a written request via email to [email protected] . Please include the following information in your request:
 
*   Your full name
*   The name of the course or coaching session
*   The date of the course or coaching session
*   A clear explanation of the reason for your request
 
**VI. Refund Processing:**
 
Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 15 business days of receiving your request. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
 
**VII. Exceptions:**
 
Mystic Lotus reserves the right to make exceptions to this refund policy on a case-by-case basis, at its sole discretion. Such exceptions will be rare and will only be considered in extraordinary circumstances.
 
**VIII. Policy Changes:**
 
Mystic Lotus reserves the right to modify or amend this refund policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically for any updates.

By enrolling in our courses, coaching sessions, or purchasing digital downloads, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this refund policy.
 
## Mystic Lotus Refund Policy
 
Thank you for choosing Mystic Lotus for your courses and coaching needs. We strive to provide high-quality learning experiences and are committed to your satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds and transfers are offered for our various services. Please read this policy carefully before enrolling in any course or coaching program.


AHA STUDENT CERTIFICATION CARDS, TUITION, ADA ACCOMMODATION, CONDUCT, ETC: 
  • According to the American Heart Association Instructor requirements, we have 21 days to issue your student cards. However, we strive to have your card issued in less than 7 days. Cards are usually issued the same day, but sometimes there are things that happen and that is not a possibility, but please know, we work very hard to have your cards to you as soon as possible.
  • There are absolutely NO REFUNDS for taking the wrong course. It is the student’s responsibility to check with their HR department, School Administration or Licensing Board to find out what class is correct for their career, course of study or license.
  • If an arrangement is made to pay tuition in class, and you do not show, you will be billed full tuition for holding a seat or seats that other students could not enroll in. No show students cause a loss to my business equal to the tuition amount as other students get turned away.
  • For ADA accommodation: Students must notify instructor at least the day prior to class as some accommodations may not be possible due to site location. Our current location has an elevator.
  • There are NO REFUNDS for no shows or late cancellations. If you show up without meeting class requirements (book or online certification, etc) you will be considered a NO SHOW and will not be allowed to attend and will not receive a refund.
  • Students must be on time to attend the class. The phone is turned off before class and during class. Students arriving late will not be allowed to attend and will be considered a no show and NOT eligible for a refund. To get certified, you must attend the full class.
  • No refunds for travel issues. See above for refund policies.
  • Due to inclement weather: if you must not attend for safety or the instructor needs to cancel you are eligible to transfer to a different date and time (within 30 days of original enrollment) refunds are NOT available. See above for refund policies.
  • If you and your tuition are transferred to a different class (date/time), you must show up on time and attend the full class. NO refunds will be allowed for any reasons. Transfers are allowed ONCE.
  • Students must fully attend the entire course to pass. No refunds for not passing.
  • Students must fully and successfully demonstrate all skills testing to pass the course.
  • Students must successfully pass the course to receive their two-year certification card.
  • There are no refunds for students who do not pass the course. Students are given one opportunity within 30 days of their original course for remediation, if they do not pass the course at that time, they will need to sign up for a future course to try again.
  • Students seeking remediation must attend an existing course, special appointments for remediation are only available at an additional cost.
  • Remediation and/or tutoring does not guarantee a student will pass the course, all original requirements for passing are the same.
  • Students have the right to ask for ADA accommodation: All skills must be performed successfully to pass the course
  • We encourage our students to be comfortable, laugh, talk a little to relate to the subject matter and to relax. This all helps students to learn and to retain information. We also ask students to be professional, mindful of time, distractions and the diversity of our students and staff.
  • Students may bring a drink and food to class in most location. If the location prohibits food or drink please do not bring any.
  • All students have the right to learn in an optimal setting, eating, side conversations and such may be distracting. While these are allowed, if it becomes and issue of distraction or delay in class time, students may be asked to stop or to leave the class.
  • Instructors have a right to refuse a class to anyone, ask students to leave and to refuse to pass a student should the student not pay attention and/or fully demonstrate all required skills. If this happens, refunds are not available.
  • Do not come to class intoxicated.
  • You must stay awake for the entire class

Class Information: 

  • You must enroll and pay tuition to attend. Enroll before paying tuition. Once you are enrolled you will receive an email stating you are enrolled, pay tuition once you have received the email or your enrollment will be cancelled. Contact Jody Gonzalez if you need an extension or cash option.
  • Class times are approximate and may vary (less or more time)
  • Class size in my location is usually 1-6 students as space is limited. 
  • Skills Testing / Blended learning course: Students must bring; their current online certification to class or email a copy to [email protected] 
  • BLS Renewal course: Students must bring a copy of their current AHA BLS certification card to class. You will not be able to attend this course without this.
  • We only renew AHA Certication not Red Cross or courses based on AHA. It's REQUIRED to provide a current (not expired), official American Heart Association BLS Provider card to attend the BLS Provider Renewal course.
  • Save time and money by booking a class as an add on. When you book a class for your team or company, add additional training for much less than you would by booking the class as a standalone class. Example of add on class: Bloodborne Pathogens. 
  • For groups: discounts may apply but are not always offered. If a discount is applied, it is for groups of 6 at our location. Other variables will be taken into consideration. 
  • For individuals who were part of a group hire (with or without a discount) will not be offered refunds for no show students but will be offered an opportunity to attend one of our existing classes within 30 days of the scheduled class. 

Location Information: Our Location or Yours! 

  • We host most of our classes in Salem Oregon
  • We do also host classes in Dallas, Oregon a few times a year
  • We can come to your location: Oregon and Washington!
  • To come to your location: Some restrictions may apply, some additional costs may apply
  • Either at your location or ours we can teach small class sizes up to large class sizes.  
  • Locations must have enough space for each student to practice skills on manikins, an onsite restroom and ADA accommodations if needed.

Be sure to purchase your student workbook before class. 

You can find your student workbooks online. They may even offer an eBook option. If you download an eBook, please have it on your device in class.  Some work and school resource centers have them for free or for sale as well. 
Student workbooks ARE REQUIRED. Showing up to class without a student workbook will be considered a a no show as you will not be allowed to attend class without the workbook. There is NO REFUND for showing up to class without meeting the student workbook requirement. 
Go to the American Heart Association store for books or eBook purchase options. 
No refunds or returns. Items are art pieces and sold as is.
